4K content is all the rage: we show you 7 ways to get the most out of your TV’s resolution

We recently reviewed a series of channels on YouTube where you can access 4K content with which to test the full potential of your new television , provided you have not dared to make the leap to 8K resolution .

Gradually, 4K resolution content is more popular and it is no longer so difficult to find sources that offer series, movies or video content at this resolution. That is why we are going to show you some possibilities to access superior image quality from your brand new Smart TV and thus forget about the catastrophic DTT that “we suffer” in Spain .

Netflix

Netflix could not be missing , the most popular platform when it comes to video streaming . A channel in which we are going to have access to UHD content that also supports improvements such as the Dolby Vision or HDR10 image enhancement systems (for now the HDR10 + has no place). Of course, keep in mind that only the most exclusive price plan offers support for that resolution.

Among the offer we will have access to a good part of the original series with Netflix seal , among which are those that carry the marvel seal, some like “Narcos” or the most recent ones like “Love Death + Robots” or “The Haunting of Hill House ” .

Although they recommend a network speed that is equal to or greater than 25 Mbps , the truth is that in my case I have accessed without problems for months with an ADSL that offered no more than 12 Mbps download speed and 1 MB upload. You only need a UHD TV from one of the brands on the market (Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Sony, Vizio, Philips, Hisense) that has the application loaded or that allows streaming from a 4K-capable dongle.

Amazon Prime Video

Second on the list is Amazon Prime Video, the service that comes bundled if you’re an Amazon Prime member. From almost 20 euros a year, the subscription has risen in Spain to a total of 36 euros for which we have … the same services that we already enjoyed before.

Perhaps we are not going to find such a wide offer as on Netflix, but there are more than interesting series , almost all from the hand of Amazon itself. This is the case of a gem such as “The Wonderful Lady Maisel” , the exciting “Jack Ryan” or other examples such as Transparent or American Gods.
